Margaret started harp lessons at the age of fourteen with  harpist Susannah Shucksmith.
She studied under the late Sidonie Goossens OBE  and finally with Sussex harpist  
 Helen Arnold with whom she gained a Diploma in Harp Music Performance.
Now one of the busiest harpists in the South East, she has played for Royalty,  including recent  performances for HRH The Princess Royal, HRH Princess Alexandra and 
HRH Prince Edward and Sophie Countess Of Wessex.

Margaret has given recitals at National Trust properties,  The Baltic Exchange,  
The City of London Guildhall, The Savoy, Ritz and Hilton Langham Hotels in London, The Garrick Club,Glyndebourne Opera House, and The Royal Courts of Justice
Her work includes formal concerts, after dinner speeches with music, lecture/recitals for
 Women's Institutes, Probus, U3A's, Rotary, Luncheon Clubs, corporate,  Masonic functions
 and for many weddings,  private parties and charity events.
For themed event Margaret will make and wear period costume.
Some of these historic venues have been Carrisbrooke, Corfe, Bodium and Hever Castles,
Battle Abbey, Clandon Park , Polesden Lacey and Brighton Pavilion.

More unusual venues where she has played include The Insurance Institute of London,
Southampton Airport,The Foundling Hospital , Wimbledon Tennis Championships,  London Zoo,
Fort Nelson,The Wetlands and Wildfowl Trust in Arundel and Gatwick Airport ~ to name but a few.
Harp music can also be very theraputic and Margaret regularly entertains residents in nursing and residential homes. She is a member of the charity Music In Hospitals and gives bedside concerts for patients and the mentally or physically disabled in hospitals and specialist care centres.
A highly experienced Harpist, Margaret is based in West Sussex but performs in Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Berkshire, London and throughout the UK ~
 delighting numerous audiences with her very varied repertoire
and often resplendent costumes.
